I have known Kallah since she was 11. That’s nearly 24 years of watching her find her way, define her career path and build her brand. It can often be uncomfortable and frightening to be faced with wearing clothes that feel alien and require a new kind of power and presence, while still maintaining a personal style. I love networking and working with a team because it brings in different points of view, perspectives, and angles on things that help people make better informed choices . Everyone’s expertise gets weaved together and that results in something that is whole and well-rounded.I love helping people become their best self. From having potential to realized potential. Improving the personal quality of their life as well as their self-esteem and self-worth.

In terms of my creative process, I love doing something that is unique for each individual person that I work with. I hold them in mind, their energy, the whole time I am shopping for them. I love creative challenges and coming up with something unique, that really captures that person, is what most deeply satisfies me.

In terms of the jewelry design…… I love all aspects of that as well. Picking out the stones, sensing into the shape of something that I’m designing, finding the right chain for a beloved heirloom piece, looking for inspiration or inspiration given to me by a client. I love the collaborative process between myself, my client and the jeweler.

My relationship to the fabric and choice of fabrics is very sensory. When I go into a store I touch everything, I am very tactile, and I do more with my fingers than I do with my eyes initially. How a piece of fabric feels and drapes and moves is my primary entry point. Then I’m looking for color texture and pattern . Some people are more sensitive to texture against their skin than others so that’s why I start there. First I see with my fingers like you would use smell to enhance your taste with eating.

I love everyone that I work with. And I love all aspects of this work that I have chosen to do. It is fun and working with a team. It allows each of us to bring a lot to the table.
